Who we are

Mooncork is made by Better Good Gang LLC. This policy covers our iOS game and promotional website. Contact mail@aaronmcguire.design with support or privacy requests.

Your game and progress

Mooncork works offline. Your puzzle, completed floors, Brew Points, helper timers, and preferences stay on your device. There is no player account or cloud-save service. Deleting the app removes its local data; Apple device backups may retain copies according to your settings.

Optional gameplay analytics

Starting with build 27, you can choose to share gameplay analytics with Google Analytics for Firebase. This includes app sessions, floor starts and completions, restarts, pours counted at milestones, helper use, and moon-potion events, together with app/device information and an app-instance identifier used by Google. We use these reports to understand progression and improve the game. Analytics is off until you enable it in Privacy choices. We disable Google advertising personalization and do not collect an advertising identifier through Google Analytics. Builds 26 and earlier do not include these SDKs.

Optional crash and error reports

Starting with build 27, you can separately enable Firebase Crashlytics to send technical crashes and selected errors. Reports can include stack traces, app/build and device/OS information, a Crashlytics installation identifier, floor number, pour count, and recent named game actions. These help us find and fix problems. Full boards, written bug-report notes, and email addresses are not added to automatic reports. Disabling crash reporting fully takes effect on the next app launch. Diagnostic reports are not sent to Meta for advertising.

Website analytics and cookies

The website asks before loading Google Analytics. If you accept analytics, Google processes page visits, support-link clicks, website error categories, browser/device information, and a cookie-based visitor identifier. We strip query strings from manually reported page URLs and do not send error messages or free-text notes. Google may process IP addresses to derive approximate location. You can decline optional cookies or change your choice at any time using Privacy choices in the footer. Hosting and security providers process technical requests to deliver and protect the website independently of optional analytics.

Meta marketing measurement

Meta marketing measurement is not active in this release. The website and app contain an integration that remains disabled until it is configured. If enabled in a future update, we will update this policy and provide a separate marketing choice; iOS tracking will also require Apple permission. The game contains no in-game advertising.

Reports you choose to share

The shake-to-share bug report remains optional and local until you choose Copy or Share. It may contain your full bottle layout, recent moves, floor, Brew Points, helper timers, settings, audio state, and app/device details, plus a note you add. If you email it to us, our email provider also processes your email address and sender name. We use this information for support and reliability, not advertising. Please avoid including sensitive information.

Providers, retention and your choices

Google processes optional analytics and diagnostics under its Firebase and Google privacy terms, including processing on servers outside your country. Analytics event retention is controlled by our Google Analytics property settings; crash reports follow Firebase retention limits. We keep support messages only as long as needed to investigate, reply, or meet legal obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you have shared by emailing us. Because we do not require a player account, we may need additional information to locate a report. We do not sell personal information. Your rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

Apple and children

Apple handles downloads, purchases, refunds, backups, and its own App Store/TestFlight diagnostics under its policies. We do not receive payment-card details. Optional sharing is not required to play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; a parent or guardian can contact us to request deletion of information a child sent to support.
